About: El Santo Taqueria embodies the colorful revelry of Lucha Libre culture and the distinct. pleasure of Mexican food in its ideal form. El Santo Cantina invites guests to worship at the altar of food and drink with a delectable menu of shareable plates of Latin influences. Walking through the massive wooden hacienda front doors into the dining room feels like stepping into an abandoned church that’s now been resurrected as a stylish ode to cocktails and lively dining. A lounge is outfitted with cushy leather-studded couches with an antique chapel piano serving as the DJ booth. The formal 80-seat dining room offers banquette seating beneath a grotto-like ceiling with draping vines and greenery. An intimate private dining room is ensconced within red velvet drapes. Guests can expect impromptu Mariachi’s, musical performers and lively entertainment throughout the evening. Position Overview: As a Server at El Santo Taqueria, you will be an integral part of creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure exceptional service delivery while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflects our brand identity. Key Responsibilities: Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Guest Interaction: Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner, seat them at their tables, and provide menus promptly. Engage with guests to understand their preferences and provide recommendations on food and beverage selections based on our menu offerings. Order Taking and Delivery: Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests, enter them into our point-of-sale system, and ensure timely delivery of orders to the kitchen. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly to guests. Knowledge of Menu: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of our menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any special promotions or seasonal items. Be prepared to answer guest questions and provide additional information as needed. Upselling and Promotion: Proactively promote featured menu items, specials, and beverage offerings to enhance the overall guest experience and increase sales. Utilize suggestive selling techniques to encourage guests to try new dishes or beverages. Service Excellence: Provide attentive and personalized service to all guests, anticipating their needs and responding promptly to any requests or concerns. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including dining areas, server stations, and restrooms. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including servers, bartenders, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen staff, to ensure seamless coordination and teamwork. Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth service operations during peak hours. Cash Handling: Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic payments. Handle cash and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members. Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, including order taking, upselling, and delivery. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively during peak hours. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
